10:30 to 11:30 – Pre shuttle – Orientation, Instruction & Outfitting.
11:30 to 12:30 – Paddle along the lively moving water while learning some skills.
12:30 to 1:00 – Lunch and talk about local natural history.
1:00 to 2:30 – Paddling further and optional blackberry haul!
2:30 – Shuttle back up to the put in.

This tour starts at the boat ramp in ABP. Paddling from here to Whitely is about 7 river miles. This section of the Willamette River is rather swift in places and there is a fun class 2 rapid at Marist. This can be portaged, if needed. It travels through the urban area of Eugene, including under Beltline Highway. It’s a great place for paddlers to enjoy some sassy waves and see a section of town from the waterway. The birding along this section is fantastic with the opportunity to see a number of different species.
