Lower Willamette River Tour – July 6th

$60.0010:30 – Meet at Marshall Island Landing in Eugene.
10:30 to 11:30 – Pre shuttle – Orientation, Instruction & Outfitting.
11:00 to 12:00 – Paddle along the moving water while learning some skills.
12:00 to 1:00 – Lunch and talk about local natural history.
1:00 to 3:00 – Paddling further and optional skills practice.
3:00 to 3:30 – Shuttle back up to the put in.

This tour starts at Marshall Island on Hayes Rd. Paddling from here to Harrisburg is about 7.5 river miles. This section of the Willamette River is becoming more broad and remote as we leave the urban area of Eugene. It’s a great place for beginners to get the feel of paddling on moving water. The birding along this section is fantastic with the opportunity to se a number of different raptors.
