Long Tom River – May 30th

$60.00This tour starts in the town of Monroe. We will start by managing the car shuttle and then get ready to hit the brown muddy waters of the Long Tom. This section of the river is lovely in the Spring as we get to paddle through a corridor of riparian vegetation sporting their fresh greenery. This tour finishes at the confluence of the Long Tom and the Willamette Rivers at Norwood Island, a very special place.
10:30 to 11:30 – Run the car shuttle. Orientation, Instruction & Outfitting.
11:00 to 12:00 – Paddle along the moving water while learning some skills.
12:00 to 1:00 – Lunch and talk about local natural history.
1:00 to 2:30 – Paddling further and optional skills practice.
2:30 to 3:00 — Shuttle vehicles to and from take out.
