10:30 to 11:30 –  Pre shuttle – Orientation, Instruction & Outfitting.

11:30 to 1:00  – Paddle along the moving water while learning some skills.

1:00 to 1:30  –  Lunch and talk about local natural history.

1:30 to 3:00  –  Paddling further and optional skills practice

3:00 to 3:30 –  Shuttle back up to the put in.

This tour starts at the boat ramp in Peoria.  Paddling from here to Crystal Lake boat ramp is about 8 river miles.  This section of the Willamette River is rather mellow but scenic.  A possible North wind can be in our faces and make for a workout.  Lovely scenery in the mid-Willamette basin allows you to hark back to the steamboat era.  The river then travels towards the urban area of Corvallis.  The take out at Crystal Lake is located on the South side of town.  The birding along this section is fantastic with the opportunity to se a number of different species, including apex predators.
